Just an educated guess - but my bet is that they don't do well on eBay, or at least as well as our friend would hope. In a hot local bike market, they might bring $150/ea. But eBay seems to only be "hot" for the rare, high end, new, and/or collectible.

These bikes are low-end mediocre build quality and not really collectible. Their only really interesting feature is that they are NOS, and I don't think that will be enough to reap a huge return. Could be wrong, though, as eBay is a funny place. But I just don't see a feeding frenzy here.

Remember the guy in Louisiana with all the NOS Raleigh's that he wanted $200+ for? I'm pretty sure he still has 'em........
