All in all this is a pretty solid mid line set up. How rigid are they about this selection of parts?
And you gotta at least consider a brooks saddle.
Thanks for the feedback gents. I've been going back and forth between double and triple. I ride a triple now, and rarely get to the tallest ring, but these 48 year old legs keep telling me to keep the bail out gears. "Pretty solid mid line set up" sounds reasonable, with options for flexibility in the future. Emailed the LBS, and this is a one off build left over from last year, don't know if there's much parts swap available, but can't hurt to ask.
Never sat on a brooks, but definitley like the look on a Surly, so we'll see.
