I prefer flip and chops with a good bit of the drop left curling up (similar to early 80's TT bars). This gives me a lot of hand positions and, through adjusting stem height, I can run the bike as an easy-going cruiser or an aggressive sprinter. I rode production bullhorns for a while but I always felt too stretched out and I had nothing at the end to press my hands against when sprinting.
Although I wouldn't use it for long trips when a drop bar with brake hoods was available, I'm thinking of working one up for my city geared bike.
