Last fall I came up on a 4 foot black snake...which I picked up and moved away from the trail. I've seen them hit/killed before, and most people panic when they see them anyway - despite the fact that they help keep the mouse population in check.

4+ box turtles....again moved them to the side of the trail in the direction they were going. One of them was being watched over by a woman who was afraid to touch it, but also was helping warn cyclists about it.....

1 snapping turtle...I didn't realize how fast those things are - they can whip around pretty fast. Picked one up and QUICKLY moved him off the trail (and ran the other way!)

Like Robtown said - LOST - 45 lbs since last March.
