The best I've found was a couple of Craftsmen, ratcheting box wrenches. I was pretty stoked.

Anyone who does something that stupid should not be allowed to own a lethal weapon.

The car is more lethal than the rifle.

2 cell phones, 1 worked, and I returned it.
3 wallets, all returned, yes with the money (if they had any; one did not).
a wrench for opening firehydrants (to flush or turn on)
2 pairs of really beefy shrot nosed side cutting pliers
a 7 inch short bubble level that is magnetized so it will stick to metal.
a $20 bill that I kept, no it did not fall out of the wallets.
a rusty L-square.
a couple of ratchet sockets.
one really small ratchet, like a4" long handle, my hand is wider than this thing is long.

that's the good stuff, that I kept, (or returned if applicable)

haha. I had a pretty good stash of "ditch porn" when I was a kid! It just occurred to me now that I haven't seen any in years either!

I found a wee turtle while riding on a busy highway in Florida, and carried it in my backpack to the next river crossing and let him go.

I found a raccoon dead and hanging from a tree that had been struck by lightning. Not his day I guess.

My girlfriend also found a bikini top when we were out riding one night- and it was downtown Toronto in January so I'm not exactly sure how it ended up on the side of the road in the financial district! It fit her, and she looks good in it though so no complaints.

Not riding, but hiking way in the interior of Algonquin park I roamed fairly far off the path to answer the call of nature and found a camera in it's case. One of these days I'll get the film developed and probably find something incriminating.

That's it! I'm moving to CO
Sounds like a much better ride over there.

Oh... also another reason to bring a camera on rides

A photographer taking pictures of nesting Osprey from the path (dumb place to stand, but sightline was good so I didn't hit him).

Lots and lots of sleeping homeless people, and several apparently abandoned bikes (though they probably belonged to some homeless person).
