The road I used to live off of has very poor lighting and when I was riding home one night I noticed a possum on the right side of the road. Thinking it wise to not ride towards an opossum, I switched to the left side of the road. The %#%$ing marsupial decided that it'd be awesome to run straight at my bike (on the opposite side of the road, mind you) and I ran over it, apparently causing it to fly into the air and sommersault a few times (according to the person who was riding behind me). I didn't kill it but I'm sure it's missing a few brain cells.
