Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Depends on the kid.

Seriously though, lucky she didn't get hurt, that could have been a much uglier scene.

a dog once crashed my dad on motorcycle.

one time i absolutely blasted a goose with a golf ball. the ball must have been flying over 100 mph and hit the goose at about 20 yards. it hit it dead square with a lound thump noise. i figure it was the equivalent of a human getting hit by a bowling ball at 400 mph. pretty sure the goose laid down and gave up on life afterwards.

Hit a possum on a night ride, had to ride 60 miles with a disclocated shoulder.. Possum ran off into the desert.. The only question people asked me was if I killed the possum..

I hit a rat the other morning. Got blood all over my DT, ST and legs. Really ****ing gross. I sprayed myself with lysol when I got to the office and cleaned my bike with alcohol and lysol.

One day about a month ago, I carefully rescued a mouse that was face down in a glue trap, then later that night I ran one over.

Oddly enough, I had on some purple nitrile gloves from work. It was a fun task. Sucked killing one later.

And a respirator? Seriously, next time wait for it to die, spray it down with bleach water and call it a day.
