A Record Group will contain all Record parts. The new stuff was slow to reach distributors so your shop may have been subbing some chorus parts.
If you want all Record, get all Record and make sure the shop didn't swap in some non-record parts. Retail is at most $1800. I assume you are buying the frame and the group from the same shop? They'll probably cut you a deal since they will make a good amount with everything else you are buying
