I've had the same kind of creak/click when pedaling hard/out of the saddle. After extensive checking, i think it's from the wheel, namely the spokes. maybe that'll help you in your troubleshooting. Try pushing hard on your handlebars to see if it's a BB/pedals thing or the front end of the bike problem.
