Even if he's 5 mph on his 50 mph sprint, it's still way faster than I've ever sprinted. So I'm sure he's fast, especially since he's got someone who's ridden with him before saying how fast he is.

Besides, he doesn't race, so those of us who do will never get embarrassed by him.

Of course, it does sound like he's in the NYC area, so maybe he'll still end up smoking us on his single speed.
