Again, it will work but if economy is what you're after why not just use the KMC 3/32" Z610 chains instead of the 1/8" Z1? Same price, same chrome finish, just as durable, but a little lighter and a better fit on the chainrings. I think they sell for around $9 - $12 ea. and you can get two sync chains out of three 118 link chains. However, be mindful that these types of chains tend to generate more noise than the better, lightweight 8 & 9 speed models.

Sync chains aren't fancy, just about any chain will work.
