Personally, if I were to spend money on a respray, I'd want it to go on a frame with Reynolds, Columbus, Ishiwata or the like tubing. I know they are harder to come by, but I've come across two full Reynolds DB frames in the past few months for under $50, both with very sad paint. One was too small, so I sold it for a small profit, and the other I have yet to rebuild. If I really like the way it rides, I may respray it some day.
