why didn't i think of this before! what a great idea!
the ski poles we are using now (for the new batch) have so far turned out great

but everytime i drill the tubing for the cross bolt, i think to myself,
"yeh it's only a matter of time until Gil breaks this"

I would be very interested to see the results of a build with a lacross stick

unfortunately, i don't think your going to find a used stick for anything under 10
and if you're going to spend that much (plus materials) you should probably just cough up the extra $$$ for a real mallet. they're only 20 or so.

the mallets made from ski poles are coming in around $4-5 bucks a piece
