What do you want your brakes to do? Seriously. Most racers don't need to stop, they need to slow down and modulate their speed, and weight might matter more than anything. Cane Creek states they know their brakes aren't as good at stopping as others. They're going for light weight, perfect for racers The rest of us would actually like to stop. Sometimes in a hurry.
I recenty put a dura ace 7800 on my front and it amazes me. Braking from the hoods can stop me really quickly. Grabing the darn things can produce instant stopping.
So, y gotta ask yourself, do I feel like stopping or just slowing down
