the photo/video of the scene shows that it was raining heavily. the cyclist was lane splitting,he got tagged by a cab and went down, and just to his misfortune there was a large dump truck behind him.
i'm not blaming the victim here, but i don't think this is a case of zomg crazy drivers !!!111 killing a cyclist. a slip up, at the wrong place, wrong time with disastrous consequences..

cabs in boston are generally kinda crazy, so when something like this happens people get easily upset... the cyclist was hit from behind, in a lot of places no matter what if you hit someone from behind it's your fault...
Saying "but **** happen" is pretty insensitive and IMO kinda a dick thing to do even if the cyclist was wear a shirt that said hit me and rode directly into the cab...
