Here goes, I’m planning to pull my Veloce (because that’s all I have) group off my aluminum Pinarello and put that on the Litespeed. I need to get a fork, post, internal headset, BB, and front derailleur due to the fact that present ones will not fit. I know I need a 68mm English thread BB, but I wonder what size. I’ll be using a non-external (older) type and the one I have measures approx. 112mm. I’m assuming the Pinarello is Italian thread and will not work. I can pull it and try though. Just wonder if it’s long enough. Next I need to deal with the headset. I’ll get the typical 1 1/8” internal, but will any brand do or will only a specific one fit? Post, derailleur, and fork shouldn’t be a big deal. I know the sizes and price will dictate my choices. On the fork, I’m looking at the Reynold Ouzo pro 40 or 45. Price is good and looks like it will be a clean fit. I wonder what one 40 or 45. Litespeed specs a 40 for the 2005 Tuscany though. I’m leaning to the 40 over the 45, but I don’t know enough about it all. Sounds like a 73 with a 45 will be sketchy, I'll get the 40 and keep it smooth.
Thanks for all the help, with any luck I’ll have the frame in a week or so.
You are right the threading on the BB is different. It won't work. Get one that is the same length, but is English threaded.
Spend as much as you want for the headset. I haven't really seen a bad one.
