If you go down this path have patience......I was hit from behind 2 years ago while in the bike lane. Head, spinal and leg injuries, it has totally changed my working life, no more heavy lifting etc. ( I delivered furniture for a job). The police did not charge the driver, they said "It was one of those things that happen" GRRRRRR. Fortunately the guy's insurance covered my bike and gear, and TAC ( Transport Accident Commission ) covered medical expenses...but as for compo...who knows? Happily I can still ride, but it makes me so mad as it still seems that the life and wellbeing of a cyclist is accounted as NOTHING in the eyes of the law.
