this is from a german website from a guy named chris timm:

Romic is a Houston-based frame builder. The original owner, Ray Gasiorowski, passed away Nov. 16th, 1996, though AFAIK the company still builds frames. Judging from the bikes I have seen and ridden, they build great steel road and track frames. The rental bikes at the Alkek Velodrome sport beautiful Mavic cranks and hubs.

The bikes are still in use today. I used one of their rental bike both during my year in Kingwood in 1988/89 (racing for the Woodlands Cycling Club) and at UT 1996/97 (racing for the UT Cycling Team and Team Bank United / Loco Velo).

Romic can be contacted at:
Romic Cycle Co., Inc.
4434 Steffani Lane
Houston, TX 77041
Phone 713.466.7806

edit:
apparently the address has changed
according to another website...
