My ugly FrankenFisher. I tried 42t in the front, but it was far too tall for hilly Fayetteville, AR. 32t works out swimmingly. I'm also kind of a re-beginning rider, so I'm being gentle on my old knees at first.
I plan to redo this with a 36t in front and an 8 speed 11-30 come summer.
Gary Fisher Marlin frame (98 or 99)
Manitou Sixsport, soon to be replaced with original solid fork
11-28 7-speed in the back, Deore derailer
32t single chainring in front on 175mm Specialized cranks
Deore 7-speed shifter/rear brake
Rush BMX front brake lever
nashbar 1.5 semislicks @ 60psi
and of course nashbar racks front and back (rear rack is a front, using a 'rear rack' mounting kit)
Yes, that is spraypaint that it got hit with. It's part of Operation Ugly, Non-Thievable Ride.
