I think vpiuva pretty much got it. It is a lower end model, far from a racing model. It is however in rather nice condition for a bike of that vintage. Notice also that it was imported early in the boom...no suicide levers. Consider that the fate of most of these models was to be rode hard and put away wet, to find one in such condition (AFAICT) is rather unusual. It would probably provide you with a very nice, comfortable ride. You would probably want to plan on replacing the plastic rear derailleur.
