Mongoose XR 200 or Mongoose Iboc
Hi. I'm currently planning to buy my first mountain bike. However, my budget is only around 150 - 200 dollars. (low) I haven't biked since 4th grade, but as a 10th grader, I'm looking forward to purchase a decent bike that is durable and comfortable. It doesn't have to be fancy looking or have the best, state of the art gears. With my budget, it's like saying, getting the cheap, crap bikes, but the best ones from the price range. I've been to many other forums, message boards, and there are numberous bikers like me, that are having trouble choosing between the two. From what I've researched, (they are both Walmart, Target Bikes btw, I know these huge stores are bad, but at least you can return em if you have trouble, again this is for leisure activity, or just something small to work out and stay in shape) the Mongoose XR has a front disc break while the Mongoose Iboc does not. However, from its looks, the frame on the Iboc model looks much stronger and better constructed. So there are cons and pros of each bike. Each bike costs around 150 dollars, and many say they are better than what you think it is, but all I am asking is, which bike to buy? (meaning the best crap ^^) If you guys have suggestions or better bikes you can buy with my budget, please reply back. Thanks guys! Awesome forum and bikes yall.
