You guys are awesome! A few days ago, I actually tried riding the Mongoose XR-200 at Walmart, and it really felt weird, as compared to my friends that I just rode today. (old bike, but he says he also bought it at a LBS around 300 dollars) I think I would go with you guys, it's rather better to spend a couple hundred more to get brand name parts and better frame, and a bike that feels good. I've asked my parents, and they said they are willing to spend around 250 - 350 range. Since my budget is higher, is there any other bikes that you (all) would recommend? I haven't check out the Specialized Hardrock yet but from the reviews that I read, it is an awesome bike for its price. (I still don't know which one to get, Sport or XC , both are around 300 dollars, but according reviews, sport is more common and higher in rating, but yeah... I'm still deciding...) If you guys have other suggestions, that would be great. Anyways, thanks guys, I'm planning to do a little more research, post some questions on forums, and hear more advices. But you guys are the greatest. Respond if you have any suggestions or any idea of a bike I should get. (Reminder: Planning to go on trails almost every other weekend, will use bike for transportation for school, stores, and so on, but not planning to do hops or tricks on it =/ Currently, I am age 15, 135lbs, 5'10" and still growing, I'm sure the LBS will help me with picking the right size, but if you guys have suggestions, go for it!) Thanks!
