How far do you plan to ride?
Your opinion. I have a gel seat that is perfectly comfortable at 70 miles (the longest ride to date). I see no reason why it would not be comfortable for another 30 miles or so. Granted my saddle isn't super soft but it is not a hard as a rock type saddle either.

To the OP,

While you might get some guidelines from others, when it comes down to it, a saddle is a personal choice. You are just going to have to try a few to find the right one. Try to work with a LBS or online store that is willing to allow you to return the saddle if you do not like it.
