Hi all,

I'm a newbie here on this board. I live in Summit County, CO and spend my winters skiing mostly in the Central Rockies ...a fair amount on lift served terrain and a fair amount in the back country during the Spring when the avy danger goes way down.

But now is the time of year that cycling fever hits. I'm already signed up for the Santa Fe Century, The Iron Horse Classic and the Triple Bypass. I know I'm racing in a few MTB drop-in races here on the local scene like the Summit Series and the Fire Cracker 50. The 24 hours of Moab is a given as is the White Rim in a day and the requisite trips to Fruita and Moab. I would like to get to know more riding in Steamboat this summer as well as doing the Kokopelli for the first time also.

I know I'll be needing some advice on a new MTB bike here in the future. I'd really like an Intense 5.5. We'll see... but it looks like there'll be no hook-up in sight as far as price.
