Here's my take. The Jamis is a Sora-equipped bike, which is a serviceable grouppo, but not really race-ready. The Guerciotti would be a keeper even if you decide you love multisport and riding and buy yourself a carbon fiber race rig in the future. That lugged SLX frameset is sweet! I have a newer steel Guerciotti that is a few levels down the scale as far as tubing quality, and it is still an amazing ride.

If it were me, I'd buy the Guerciotti if it fits and is available. Otherwise, keep looking at craigslist, ebay, local classifieds, yard sales, etc.
