I have a newer steel Guerciotti that is a few levels down the scale as far as tubing quality, and it is still an amazing ride.
If it were me, I'd buy the Guerciotti if it fits and is available. Otherwise, keep looking at craigslist, ebay, local classifieds, yard sales, etc.

Incorrect! I have done a crit with sora and would have no problem doing a tri with it. It shifts gears with a thumb button and brifter like campy. It is only for a eight speed but that isn't that big of deal.
I would have bought the Guerciotti, much better resell value and it is probably lighter if not as light as the supper heavy Jamis and sora setup.
