upgrading to avids + bonus question!
ok so i have decided to upgrade from shimano Vs to avid disc brakes in the front...once I install the rotor and the caliper...does anyone know how much it would cost to take it to an LBS for cable installation? Or is it easy enough to install the cables myself? Where can I get a cable kit and how do i know what size to cut the sheath? ALSO with disc brakes, will it still be safe for me to hose down my bike when its dirty?
BONUS QUESTION:
Considering I think I already know the answer...my Bottom bracket sucks...ive had to have it tightened every week...the last time I took it in, the guy took it apart and rebuilt it and now I hear a clickity flickity kinda sandy noise coming from the general crank area when pedaling...but I wouldnt go as far as call it a grinding sound...I'm waiting on a new BB to come into the shop for replacement...but is it possible something else could be causing the clickity flickity from my crank area?
