Well, that's why it's good to collect all the parts little by little, and you can just replace one or two things at a time. The time consuming replacement parts are the group. The shifters/F&R ders/chain/cassette, all ran me about $180. That takes a while to replace and properly tune. But, it can easily be done in one evening with some good tunes and a couple beers.
