I bought my '85 Peug Ventoux in 1988 & it's still hanging in there.
Only 1 weld job in 19yrs & it just happened.
Guess riding off-road wasn't the best thing for it.

It's worked out well as a singlespeeder & fixed.
Although the P.O.S. Vuelta hub couldn't handle it. (note to self: avoid Vuelta)

Back to coasting until the Steamroller is put together.
