Another favorite exercise of mine is mountaineering.
Living near the Scottish border it is quite handy for trips into the highlands . My friend who ownes a car (i dont) often takes me along when he is doing what they call in this part of the world "Munroe bagging" that is a list of mountains over 3,000ft in Scotland .
I am lagging way behind in the count having just climbed 83 of the peaks to his 196.
I think there about 279 altogether , so i have still many to go at , that should keep me in lots of exercise alternative to the cycling in the future
