I can give you a heads up about those panniers because I bought a pair last year. As stated the bunji is chintzy but it does hold, I've never had one fall off. I've commuted in some torrential downpours & everything always stayed as dry as I originally packed them, never a drop of rain inside the panniers.

As roomy as the panniers are do not plan on packing more than 6-7 pounds or so or the cheap rivets & I do mean CHEAP rivets that hold the hooks onto the plastic/nylon? backing will break off. I read about that in an other review so I was prepared, got mine half off through Nashbars "returned goods" sale.

I went down to Home Depot and bought a packet of small screws and lock washers, you'll need 4 for each pannier about 5/8 th in size. I tore the hooks off, they come off real easy, too easy. From there I just replaced the chintzy rivets with the lock nuts and screws and the panniers are a hundred times sturdier than new.
