LOL! You should have read my other recent thread. I learned about going a half size larger the hard way!
Like an imbecile I decided to go on a 20 mile near marathon around jamaica bay using untested gear. I picked that day to use some injinji toe socks and a silicone footbed inserts. The toe socks caused unwanted pressure points and the silicone inserts just created a whole bunch of extra friction. That and the fact that I shoulda gone a half size larger cause me to hurt my right foot and blister a toe there real bad.
Plus running 5 miles every other day for a few weeks now caused one of my toenails on the right foot to cut into the toe making it bleed.
Argh!
I got on the phone with newton running and asked if they could make me a custom pair of shoes. The shoe designer got on the phone and told me they received numerous request to come out with wide width shoes. So by the end of July or early August they will have available wide width shoes to order. I'll order their wide widths in 12.5 which should do nicely for me.
Actually, since my troubled right foot is actually slightly larger than my left perhaps they could send me a pair that is size 12 on the left and 12.5 on the right.
