I had a pair of egg beaters, I tired them and didn't like it. I love riding platforms and that will never change. I have Primo pedals on every bike I own, regardless of the kind of riding it is. It's really not that hard to stop or control. I backpedal, skip, or put my foot in the tire in emergencies. I've been riding a brakeless BMX bike really ****ing fast on the streets for about 8 years now, so switching to the pista was no big deal.
