Bikes: Kona Fire Mountain

Nice idea... I'm working on a similar idea for my bike. Your use of a Pelican case is probably a smarter than my idea... I bought a plastic toolbox for $8 from Wally World and lined it with 1" high-density foam. I was able to make a comparment that will hold my D50 with 300mm f4 lens attached, as well as another space for other odds and ends (a couple wide angles, SB800, spare batteries, spare cards, etc). I still haven't gotten it mounted on my bike though, the first rack I ordered wouldn't fit (silly me forgot to take into account the disc brakes on my MTB). I have another rack on order that's designed for bikes with disc brakes. Here's a picture of my trunk....
