The ride is okay (comparable to Mich Pro 2, Vred's, and Conti GP). The abolsute best tire I've found is the Conti GP 4000 S. Make sure it's the S - brand new and most of the big chains don't carry them yet.
I rode Krylions all of last year and found them to be flawless. I got a pair of Mondo S Works this year and a) crashed 2 miles into my first ride due to a lack of grip (I was later told that I had to "scrub in" new tires, oops. but I never had to do that before...), and b) got two flats in two weeks, followed by c) a gash in the rear tire that ended it's life. All that in 200 miles (max, probably less). Never again.

Now, the roads around here are harsh, and I'm seeing cuts in my new Krylions which I'm back on once again, but still... those Mondos almost killed me. Krylions are a great way to go.
