I don't recall there being a lockring. The disc simply threads onto the hub in standard right hand thread.
The hub/brake I used on the rear of this bike came from a Sears Free-Spirit 10 speed.

The FRONT disc was added in '78 and in order to have the caliper on the "show side" of the bike, it did require a lockring.
