Bikes: Seriously downsizing.

Latest from the landfill

First up is this Columbia mixte, very much 'before' pictures, as all I've done is ascertain that the stem and seatpost weren't frozen:

The steel rims are beyond repair, but they are laced to nice Sunshine high-flange hubs.

A rather non-descript lady's bike had this rather interesting cable-operated disc brake on the rear wheel.

When I strip the few usable parts from the frame it's going back to the metals hopper, but if anyone wants this brake assembly it's theirs for postage.

Bikes: BMC, Cannondale, '87 Nishiki Modulus, 3Rensho Keirin

The disc threads on like a track cog and it uses the same reverse-threaded lockring as a track hub. I'm thinking budget fixie here...

I don't recall there being a lockring. The disc simply threads onto the hub in standard right hand thread.
The hub/brake I used on the rear of this bike came from a Sears Free-Spirit 10 speed.

The FRONT disc was added in '78 and in order to have the caliper on the "show side" of the bike, it did require a lockring.

Hello Top,

Sounds good - PM me with the cost/info/etc, for I have a tendency to loose track of discussion threads.
