CC TT levers do indeed need MTB cables IIRC. I'm too lazy to check but I think the RU has road stuff.
Try it when you have all the parts and buy an MTB cable if the original cable doesn't fit. $1.

You might need to use a longer housing to get the bends right.
...but many new bikes come with housing that's too long to begin with, so you could be ok.
