So I installed a new 6600 chain yesterday following all of the instructions for inserting the special pin. On insert I think I push it about 1mm farther in than necessary but after breaking off the back piece I back it off a bit and now both sides are flush. Am I at any risk of the pin failing? I'm a bit paranoid as I have a CF frame without a replaceable hanger, so a chain hanging in the RD could cause some major headaches. If this is risky I would probably try to find a quick connector and use it instead.
