For ruggedness I would go with Mavic Aksium or Neuvation R28's as a complete wheelset.
As far as what you mentioned, 6 of one 1/2 dozen other, both very good products with DT SS flat spokes.

I am 6' 192lbs and use both Mavic and Neu on two different bikes, can't rip em apart.
