BB refacing takes an expensive tool, not worth buying for an individual.
The chain will have to be shortened, the front deraileur will have to be changed for a compact-specific deraileur.
Maybe not, I use an ultegra FD on my FSA compact and I don't have huge problems with my chain falling of. I do have some problems, but with the right screw adjustments I'm ok.
