Back on topic, Shimano/Campy compatibility is always a problem. Yes, it will work OK, but no, it will not be perfect. I found that between the two 10s systems I lose a gear when I run a Shimano wheel on a Chorus setup. One of the gears will just skip or make a lot of noise. It is simple mathematics. Take 100mm and divide by 10 and then take 110mm and divide by 10. (I'm completely making these numbers up) You have an extra gear on the wider wheel that the smaller system won't recognize no matter what you do. Again, that doesn't mean it won't work, just that you won't have perfect shifting.
