As I mentioned in an earlier post, skidding came pretty quickly to me too once I had the need for it. I didn't replace the front brake lever to the new bars I mounted when I changed the bar/stem on my ride so I needed to learn how to skid pretty quickly. Now I just have to practice the method for practical skidding rather than the distance skidding one.
