I'm just judging halogen lights based on the specs on websites. No one aroud here stocks them so I can't really shop them. Also, I've read too many warnings about how you can damage the light when the bulb burns out. I'm assuming that if I can wait a couple months and get a bulb thats twice as bright and has a bulb with tens of thousands of hours of runtime I'd be doing myself a favor. The thought of pulling over to change a bulb in the wrong neighborhood doesn't appeal to me either. If I'm going to spend $175 for a wheel to power the light, I want the best light I can get.
