From: Videogames ruined my life. Good thing i have 2 extra lives.

Bikes: Giant TCR2, Giant TCX, IRO BFSSFG SE, Salsa Casseroll, IRO Rob Roy.

I don't think there'd be much of a difference. Both contact the pedal with the U-shaped pontoon. If i could, i'd use the 2-hole ones since i can find them at the LBS where i'd have to order the 3-hole cleats online or put in a special order with the LBS...
