I don't know why anyone would buy that crankset....it's the weakest component in the Sram line up, same goes for their force crankset. I heard that the chain rings are not that great during shifting but then again I haven't used sram crankset....I used their shifters and drive train before. Ultegra is cheaper, lighter, and look way nicer. Campy is nice too but expensive if you're on a budget. I highly recommend the 10sp 105 crankset with after market rings for the look.

The best way to build a cheap but light group:

Sram Rival shifters
Sram force rear derailleur
Campy Record Front Derailleur (can be had used real cheap on ebay)
Ultegra everything else.

PM JayC....I think he used a Sram crankset.
