I'm Ceezer, the Fallen Buckeye. I got a mountain bike ('06 Specialized Hardrock Sport) in January of '06 as I was approaching 30 and wanted to get back into shape to improve quality of life and longevity. In April of '06 I took a spill that not only mangled my bike but put a hurt on me that left me on the DL for several months while I recovered. Then I got lazy while I was inactive so my bike sat in the corner of the garage for a year and a half. I'm wanting to get back on it so I got everything fixed & replaced and put some slicks on for the time being because I want to use the road to get back into things. I was looking around for some motivation, found this board, saw that it encompassed all walks of biking (being a life-long hot rodder, I also have a fondness for alt/custom (Kustom) bikes and cruisers) and thought this was a good spot to settle down.

I'm originally from OH/WV but have lived in the Carolinas for the last 12 years - the last 3 here around Sumter, SC. I'm coming up on 31, have a daughter who just turned 7, and a wife in school for nursing. My wife (who is a NC girl) and I are both former Marines. I've been a Defense contractor for several years (which is what brought us to Sumter/Shaw) but am between jobs. When my wife finishes up school I'm thinking about going back and getting into healthcare (radiology tech) where I can help people, wear pajamas to work, and ride my bike without having to worry about sweating up a shirt & tie (I'm not a shirt & tie guy to begin with). We're also wanting to relocate and get (back) into the mountains when she finishes up and looking primarily at Greenville, SC and Roanoke, VA so if anyone has the skinny on these areas I'm all ears.
