if you must know, i paid $90 for my rear hub which came with two cogs - a 16t and a 19t. this is most likely cheaper than anything else that compares to it in quality. at that price i am confident that i made a reasonable decision. i realize that this isn't the going rate, but i have no significant spending to justify. i have several bicycles and only one has a single level hub on it. hell, i built the wheel up not too long ago.

people spend way too much money on bike **** all of the time. they buy **** that's far higher quality than they need, etc. if you noticed, i have not argued that Level hubs win out in any sort of price/performance ratio or that you should run out and buy them. i do, however, think that they are a very well designed (perhaps overdesigned) hub and a great option if you want to switch to a non-threaded system.
