aight so it seems like finding a bike with true track geometry vs relaxed road geometry isnt a huge priority. since budget is the big factor, i'd check out the mercier kilo tt at bikesdirect.com first, to see what you think. its a fine frame, with entry level components, but its super cheap. no break either, which you seem to like, but i still recommend slapping one on for emergencies. that will run you $400 total, well within your budget. for comparison, see the fuji track, windsor the hour, and khs flite for low-budget alternatives.
