You seem to be confused. They are even more than a pound and a half heavier than a set of Mavic Ellipses (2714g compared to 1996g), which everyone seems to complain about. And yes, I have ridden AeroJokes and put quite a few miles in on them but I dont think they are anything to write home about.

Im 205, on a light day, and can often be found with 30lbs+ in my bag. I hated the wheel on the front because the turning seemed slower and the crosswinds wanted to take the nose of the bike all the time.The rear I dont mind but I dont see any benefit over a well built traditional rear. Im all for rocking what you want though. Go big or go home.
